What is the current liturgical season?

Our current liturgical season is Eastertide, where we celebrate the fulfilled promise and joyful message of Christ’s resurrection amidst the bounty of spring flowers.

What is the Liturgical Year?

The liturgical year is the annual rhythm of the church that provides structure and direction in our worship. Our services, vestments, and decoration of the church reflect these seasons of worship.

You may be familiar with the Advent and Lenten seasons, when we look forward to critical moments in Christ’s mission. Each season is wonderful in its own way and you’re invited to share these experiences with us.

Become a Zoom Worshipper!

If you live remotely, are away from Litchfield, or are simply curious, consider worshipping with us via Zoom. What we do is real—not virtual—with an immersive, live camera feed that keeps you in the midst of worship. After service, our Zoom Coffee Hour Host greets you as we make our way over to the Community House where you can socialize and connect with your community.

We hope you will join us at 10am each Sunday by clicking the icon below to enter the
Zoom Narthex (waiting room).

How can I make a difference in someone’s life today?
People come to our Community House every day seeking nutritious and enjoyable food for themselves and their families. Your help is needed! Please support our efforts to provide these resources by either:
—Bringing non-perishable food to the back pews of the church any day from 7-7, or
—Clicking on the button below and giving money to make it happen! Your donation enables us to feed our neighbors in need.

Can I participate in Communion?

Anyone baptized in any Christian tradition is welcome and encouraged to receive communion. If for any reason you do not want to receive communion, please come up to the altar and cross your arms over your chest, and we will know to say a blessing over you. We want everyone to feel fully part of God’s family.

Who is your Priest?

Our Priest-in-Charge at St. Michael’s is the Reverend Ian B. Montgomery. A life-long Episcopalian, Father Montgomery was ordained to the priesthood in 1998 after receiving his Masters of Divinity from General. He has previously served in Connecticut at Saint Saviour’s, Old Greenwich and Christ Episcopal in East Norwalk. He has also served parishes in Paris, Pennsylvania, and California.
