French and Indian War Presentation
History told by CT Citizens
“Voices From Connecticut from the French and Indian War” is a presentation by Sarah Melcher, a quick walk through the French and Indian War (1755-1763) as told by citizens of the Colony of Connecticut. Sarah has been a reenactor in the French and Indian War reenactment community for 18 years and believes this pivotal time in America’s early history is one of the most fascinating to learn about. Without this war, there probably would not have been a Revolutionary War. Sarah will present this talk in 1750s period dress.
This event will be in the St. Michael’s Community House. Doors open at 6:30. The presentation is 7-8pm, followed by questions and answers, a look at some reproduction artifacts, and sampling colonial style shrub (a beverage).
