The Phantasmagorical Emporium of Fundraising!
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010A church member recently gave me several items for our Ebay fundraising project (another $350 profit in April!), and among them were some lovely silk scarves and an amazing black silk evening bag with gold and seed pearl decoration and gold satin lining. I was told it was a gift from Paris that had lain in a drawer for fifty years.
Those items prompted a trip to the Emporium, a high-quality consignment store that recently opened in a two-story antique home in Bantam. The owners were pleased to open an account for St. Michael’s so we now have a new creative outlet for continuing fundraising.
If you have gently worn, or hidden-in-a-closet and never worn, designer or Talbots style of clothing, please contact Jo Ann. Also, artworks that you are no longer enjoying on your walls can be consigned to this wonderful place.
But please do not bring items directly to the Emporium since appointments and inventories are required. Please contact Jo Ann for pick-up.
We continue to sell items on Ebay – anything silver or silverplated, antiques, fine China pieces, crystal. But now, with the Emporium, we can widen our reach.
