Organist James Bush will be offering the prelude and postlude, as well as supporting the choral and congregational singing, at St. Michael’s Morning Prayer service on Sunday, October 30, at 10am.
On Sunday, October 30 at 10am, St. Michael’s will be offering sung Morning Prayer, followed by the Eucharist. Morning Prayer is a beloved tradition in the Episcopal Church. Inspired by the great monastic tradition of scripture-based prayer, Morning Prayer includes psalms, scripture readings, canticles (poetic prayers) and intercessions (prayers for others). Many are set to music, mostly beautiful Anglican Chant tones.
The St. Michael Choir, directed by Dr. Marguerite Mullée, will be leading the psalms and canticles set to beautiful traditional Anglican chant, as well as singing special choral music. Organist James Bush will be offering the prelude and postlude, and supporting the choral and congregational singing. All are welcome to this very special service.
