2016

August 29, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.–Church School Open House #1

September 10, from 10 to 11 a.m.–Church School Open House #2

September 11—First day of Church School for 2016-2017 School Year
We have a brand-new curriculum and a fun year is ahead for children up to 12th grade.

Friday, October 21, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.—Movie Night
Drop off your pajama-clad kids for pizza and a movie while you enjoy a night on the town. Children will watch DreamWorks’ The Prince of Egypthaving studied Moses and the Exodus at Church School earlier in the month. Registration is required. Please email sarahsadams7@gmail.com to register.

Sunday, November 6–Singing in Church
For All Saints’ Day, the children will wear choir robes and sing the recessional hymn, “I Sing a Song of the Saints of God.”

Sunday, November 27—Advent Wreath Making at Coffee Hour
Children will sell Advent wreath kits during the month of November, with proceeds to benefit a charity of the children’s choice. Kits will be delivered at coffee hour so the whole parish can take part in making wreaths together.

Sunday, December 18, 4:30 p.m.—Christmas Caroling
Meet at the Adams’s house at 40 Wolcott Street in Litchfield for caroling around the neighborhood, followed by pizza and hot cocoa. Please email  sarahsadams7@gmail.com to register. 

2017

Friday, January 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 7 at 2 p.m.—Epiphany Pageant
Our beloved colossal puppets will be back to tell this important aspect of the Christmas story.

Tuesday, February 28—Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Children are encouraged to help host during this fun annual parish event.

Sunday, March 5—Lenten Food Drive Begins
This popular St. Michael’s Church School tradition has returned. 

Friday, April 14, 10:30—Good Friday Visit to the Stations of the Cross at Lourde’s of Litchfield
In preparation for Easter, church school families will walk the stations of the cross in this peaceful woodland setting.
