Pentecost ~ June 5 at 8am and 10am

We will be exercising some theological imagination when we celebrate Pentecost on June 5.
To represent speaking in tongues as a sign of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit we are seeking parishioners that speak a language other than English.
Mother Carrie will read the Gospel in German, and invites us all to read along with her in other languages as we are able. You can expect to hear English, German, Greek, Latin, and French.
You can find the Gospel reading for June 5 here on the lectionary page http://www.lectionarypage.net/YearC_RCL/Pentecost/CPentDay_RCL.html
Pentecost emphasizes that the church is understood as the body of Christ which is drawn together and given life by the Holy Spirit.
It is one of seven principal feasts of the church year in the Episcopal Church. The liturgical color for the feast is red. You might consider wearing red! You can read more about Pentecost here: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/glossary/pentecost/
In preparation for the Pentecost service the Dragon Ladies will be decorating the church with the aisle candles and red ribbons. Set up will be on Tuesday, May 31 at 10am and clean up with be on Tuesday, June 7 at 10am. If you are able to help with these preparations or the taking down, just show up. If you have questions, please contact Dragon Lady Sara Gadomski or Peggy Sullivan.
We have two worship services each Sunday: 8 am & 10 am.
There is coffee hour following the 10 am service. Please join us.
